I wanna play!!!

So this Sunday I was supposed to have a 7-Man tournament up at Colors Paintball. I went to check the website to see who we would be playing against so I could strategize properly. But then I saw it...

Colors Paintball will be closed 1-17-08

At first, my jaw dropped. Then I was spitting nails, punching all the pillows with in reach on the couch. Then I IM'ed my team captain and Echo 2 (the guy under me since I'm Echo Squad Leader).

Then... I burst into tears.

I've been waiting 3 weeks to play paintball. The first week it was too snowy, and the roads were all blocked. The second week, half the team was busy. The third week, it was the weather again.

Now this week... the weather again!!!!

So I'm currently crying my eyes out because once again I can't play paintball.

You may not understand how huge this all is to me so let's compare it like this:

You can't play video games for a month like I can't play paintball for a day.

    Is this the only paintball place in the local area? Could you and your team maybe come up with a backup place to keep future things like this from happening?

    I DO understand how hard this is on you...I'm exactly the same way if I can't get to Mutiny every week. *hugz*

      Colors is our home field, there's a few other places in town but they're extremely expensive and don't allow cross-over teams. Its bull crap I know, but that's how this world works.

    Ouch man, I feel your pain. I say take the initiative, go into a forest and play there! But that could be dangerous so don't always listen to me =P

    Oooh or take it to the streets =P

      that's just it, we're a scenario paintball team, so we're used to playing in sub zero weather in the worst possible precipitation. The thing is though, we all live in suburbs or the city, so no one has a patch of woods to play in.

      Taking it to the streets is an excellent idea... :/

        lol, I wasn't being serious about taking it to the streets, that would lead to a lot of trouble. I hope you can go soon though, getting pumped up for something for it to crash down on you sucks a lot.

            The story more or less starts like, 4-5 years ago. I started playing a game called Endless Ages, etc etc, it wasn't very popular, some other company buys it accidentally, then pulls the plug for no reason while being looked into by the FBI for fraud, and I'm left heart broken =( (mind you this whole thing was over a few years, not a short amount of time).

            Now a former Endless Ages player bought the game from the original owner and is fixing it up and what not. The only problem is the estimated ETA's are getting pushed back, from what was supposed to be Dec. 5th, is now very soon from now. But it's an awesome game, FPS/RPG ftw.

                Nah, it's alright, the game was down for about 2 years, a few months is nothing. Plus it's a small dev group trying to rebuild a whole game from scratch basically, there's bound to be delays, not to mention new owner is trying to perfect everything.

                And I get a free teeshirt for the game, as well as a free CD for the game.
